Rachel truly made our ‘cake dreams’ come true. I cannot begin to describe just how seamless the entire process was and nothing, literally nothing was too much trouble (and we had some pretty extraordinary ideas!) Not only did we want out wedding cake to have different coloured layers, different shaped cakes and different flavours, we wanted it to be covered in all sorts of objects and decorations to reflect our hobbies and characters. Yikes: we simply sent our ideas to Rachel and she sketched a drawing.

It really was the talking point of the wedding and was beyond our wildest dreams. The was not one person who did not comment on just how amazing it looked. As for the taste, wow! We had chocolate fruit, lemon and carrot. I don’t think anyone could decide which was the best, but I think the carrot cake was quite simply the best carrot cake I have ever tasted and I know I was not along in thinking that. Thank you!

Where other cake makers declared they were not interested to do our bespoke wedding cake, Rachel walked through our ideas with us and delivered the perfect cake with amazing details and most importantly, the chocolate and Cointreau buttercream filling was moist and scrummy to eat.

Rachel herself came across as a lovely lady, very calm and sincere. Rachel helped us to design the perfect cake for our wedding day. We decided on 5 tiers with 3 different types of cake. Chocolate mud cake with layers of chocolate ganache and vanilla butter cream, Lemon Madeira cake with layers of lemon curd and vanilla buttercream and Carrot cake with layers of lemon butter cream. All 3 of them tasted amazing! (I couldn’t even choose my favourite as they all tasted amazing!) I myself as I’m sure most brides are… very particular about the fine details for my big day and it was very important to me that my wedding cake was visually perfect! Sharp edges, extra depth and a very delicate colour with intricate lace detail! I felt that the end result and my happiness was very important to Rachel and although this gave me confidence that the cake would be exactly as I wished I was still slightly apprehensive about seeing my ideas made into reality on the day! Well those feelings was totally blown away when I actually seen the cake! It was absolutely stunning! Perfect! I could not of wished for anything better! The compliments from the guests was lovely to hear and although our wedding was over a month ago I am still receiving compliments about the look and taste of the cake from our guests!   Rachel made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable!  I couldn’t recommend her enough!

The wedding cake Rachel made for us was an absolute delight. We first met Rachel at her place in Pilning for a tasting of her fruit and Madeira cake, and discussed the designs that we’d like which included various filling and coating combinations, sugar-paste decos, ribbons and laces – she offered lots of helpful tips on each. We were really happy to see the finished cake that she already assembled on the day when we arrived at the reception venue, and how she managed to put all the intricate details together. All in all, Rachel makes amazingly tasty and beautiful cakes, and was helpful and responsive.

Rachel made us the most amazing ‘naked’ wedding cake for our wedding. It looked stunning and tasted out of this world! We had so many compliments from guests. She was very professional and helpful right from my first panicked phone call (I’d left organising a cake to the last minute!) right up to delivery and assembly of the cake. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Fantastic!
